when you come to Goa, you will discover
that there is so much to see and to do while in Goa and one is
confused as to which one to go for in the first instance. Well, it
would be a good idea to go slow on all the attractions so as to
savor the memories of each and every item you see.
Goa Carnival : Most of the tourists visiting Goa make it a point of plan their
visit during the month of February because this month sees Goa fully
decked up to party. All the people in Goa wait eagerly for this
month to come so that they can let down their hair and party not
just for one day but for three days continuously. Carnival is a time
for fun and frolic in Goa. Colourful processions and lavish floats
parade the streets of Goa. Singing, dancing and masked people mark
the uproarious and flamboyant Goan celebration. The unique thing
about Goa carnival is that the people of Goa have inculcated
different items in the carnival that makes us feel the different
shades of Goa.
Goa Churches : The churches in Goa largely reflect
European architectural styles. Majority of the churches in Goa were
built during the Portuguese regime. But even today, these churches
stand tall with plenty of historical importance. They have always
been architecture of immense interest for visitors whether Indian or
foreigners. (more)
Goa Beaches : Strung along Goa’s
60-mile (100km) coastline, like a lace frill on the edge of a
colorful, skirt are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world-
dazzling stretches of golden sand edging the aquamarine expanse of
the Arabian Sea. Goan beaches are
magnificent and you will find them
extremely difficult to leave. The only problem is which one to head
for. An unbroken four-mile (7km) crescent of sun-drenched sand marks
the twin beaches of Candolin & Calangute, north of Panjim and the
Aguada headland. Calangute became almost a traveler’s cliché in the
'60s and early'70s and tourist literature is fond of referring to it
as the 'Queen' of Goa's beaches’. Baga, a little further north, is a
better beach and a more relaxed place to stay.
Despite the
concentration of resorts, hotels, beach huts, bars, restaurants,
and souvenir stalls, there is innocence here, a freshness of
childhood mornings. Farther north, past estuaries of the many
streams that gurgle through the land, are a series of secluded
beaches. In South Goa at a distance of mere two kilometers are
the Colva and the
Benaulim beaches. The slow paced beaches are breathtakingly
beautiful. The Dona Paula beach, Vagator and Chapora are other
beaches worth visiting. (more)

paradise for water sports lovers. The long coastal area
offers
wonderful oppurtunites to indulge in all sorts of water-sport
activites. The goan coast has always appealed beach lovers and
sports lovers to try on some new watery excitement. Surf the seas or
float across the skies, the options of sport enjoyment are never
ending in Goa.
The best season for
enjoying water sports in Goa is from October to May when the skies
here are cloudless and blue, and the waters placid.
